Tips
on maintaining your e-mail identity.
First set up your e-mail using your company domain name, i.e.
jsmith@yourcompany.com. Do not use your Internet provider's
name like @aol.com or @msn.com. This way you can change providers
without having to notify everyone your e-mail address has changed.
Set
up a Signature file
Nearly every e-mail program allows you to set up a signature
file. This file is automatically added to your e-mail. It should
contain your name, company name, address, phone number and a
tag line such as "We build better mousetraps" or whatever
you make or sell. We can't tell you how many times we get e-mail
requesting information without a signature or even a name. We
do not respond to these requests and we are sure your prospective
clients will not respond. So add that signature file.
